My Doula Journey

My calling as a doula began at age five, when I told my teachers I wanted to grow up to help mommies. Even then, I was instinctively drawn to supporting mothers — holding and rocking babies at synagogue so the mamas in my community could rest, pray, and reconnect with themselves.

That calling grew into formal education and training. I studied Education with a minor in Creativity, Arts, and Social Transformation, focusing on indigenous and immigrant women's experiences of birth, womanhood, and sexism across cultures. At 20, I apprenticed with a leading Israeli doula serving the southern Arava region. After college, I spent nine months in the womb school of Qiddist Ashe — a traditional midwife, full-spectrum doula, and practitioner of herbal ancestral wisdom. I also completed a trauma-informed birth doula training through Denver Health Hospital and apprenticed under a local traditional midwife.

For the past three years, I have been honored to support women through the full spectrum of their reproductive journeys, offering womb massages, closing of the bones ceremonies, and yoni steam rituals.

I believe that every woman deserves deep attunement and a knowledgeable guide to walk alongside her through the sacred journey of womanhood — from conception, to the threshold of birth, and beyond.

What Women Are Saying

"Jay was incredibly gifted, intuitive, loving, and skillful at supporting me through my birth. I feel so incredibly grateful that she was present. I don't know how I would have done it without her. She knew exactly where to put her hands to ease the pain and soothe me without me even needing to ask. And at the same time, she was also great at asking specific questions that gave me exactly what I needed. She also wove in song, tinctures, and body oils she handcrafted to support my body and being. Jay was a grounded, calm, attuned and powerful doula. I truly can't imagine going through this experience without her. She was my lifeline. Thank you, thank you!" - Faith, 2026.

“Working with Jay in the 1:1 sessions she offers has given me such profound guidance and support. Jay is truly a wise woman and her presence instills such calm and introspection into one’s soul. I have worked with Jay a few times and each time no matter the topic or depth, I have felt full support from her and within myself a safety to go deeper. Jay has a gift of compassion and kindness and helping the body to be present to allow healing to begin. I truly love how there is absolutely nothing but pure love channeling through Jay into me when we work together—no judgement, no guilt, no shame—just absolute presence and holding of sacred space to channel energy into the soul” - Laura, 2025.

Jay has supported me through many journeys with my womb. She carries deep intuitive medicine as well as well-studied practical information and balances both beautifully in her practice as a doula. She held space for my needs with gentle strength, advocating for me even in the moments I was unable to advocate for myself.

She never wavers in her honesty and her deep support. During a really tender journey, I felt so safe and able to be held in her hands. Working with her was such an honor and I pray so many women get to experience her magic!

Ava, 2023

Postpartum Support

Closing of the Bones

This postpartum ritual has been practiced across many cultures to help women integrate their birth experiences, tend to their pelvic floor, and hold reverence for the beauty and trauma of birth.

This ritual can take anywhere from 2-4 hours and it can take place inside your home (or any space that feels sacred and safe for you) or outside to connect with the Land. You will be encouraged to invite people whose role will be to witness you as you share and digest your birth experience.

In traditional practice, this ceremony is offered 40 days after birth in all of its forms, from a full-term birth, a loss, or a intentional release. The womb does not distinguish between these types of births, and neither does this ritual.
Every kind of birth deserves to be honored and closed.

Typically, this ritual includes some variation of these actions:

- Guided Yoni Steam

- Foot massage with herbal oils

- Writing and or sharing of poetry

- Song medicine led by Jay

- Traditional rebozo wrapping to tend to the pelvic floor

Pricing: Sliding scale of $195 - 630, or a flat rate of $445.
