Blue vervain is also a wonderful women’s reproductive ally. It can mitigate symptoms of PMS in the luteal phase (post ovulation), such as emotional irritability, anger, tension and food cravings while supporting hormonal balance. This plant is also supportive for women during menopause and perimenopause as it can ease the severity of hot flashes and emotional dysregulation due to hormonal shifts.

  • Blue Vervain is a beautiful bitter plant, one with a deep affinity for the nervous system, digestion, and and muscular tension. Think of Blue Vervain when you or a loved one are experiencing overwhelm, physical tension (particularly that of the upper back, shoulders, and neck), anxiety, rage, a sluggish liver, or insomnia. Blue vervain calms and eases tension and disperses stagnant energy and can be taken whenever you get into a fight or flight response.

    As a digestive bitter, blue vervain can aid digestion and support the nervous system, and is particularly indicated for tension in the stomach. Blue vervain tincture often does NOT taste good, but that is a sign of a high quality extract of this extremely bitter plant.

  • Take 3-5 drops at a time, either once a day or multiple times a day.
